Trusted Movers in Wayne, NJ
Moving Between Wayne and Pennsylvania or Delaware
Wayne is suburban North Jersey at its most spread out: split-levels and colonials off Route 23 and Route 46, private lake communities around Packanack Lake and Pines Lake, neighborhoods near William Paterson University, and the busy corridor around Willowbrook Mall. Family homes here are full of the furniture that has to come apart before it can leave: bunk beds, cribs, sectionals, dining tables, and the treadmill in the basement.
Simple Moving Solutions focuses on Wayne moves that cross state lines, between Passaic County and Philadelphia, the Lehigh Valley, Chester County, and Delaware. Our Wilmington headquarters is a little over two hours away, so we plan Wayne moves as full-day jobs. We hold USDOT 4531853 and MC 1797073 for interstate moves. See also our Paterson page.

Learn moreTaking Furniture Apart: What Each Piece Takes
Our crews take apart and rebuild furniture on every move. If you want to do some yourself, here is what each piece needs.
Bed frame and headboard
Tools: Allen keys or a screwdriver; a wrench for bolted frames. Typical time: About 15 to 30 minutes.
- Strip the bedding and pack it in a labeled bag.
- Remove the headboard and footboard from the rails.
- Tape bolts and brackets in a bag to the headboard.
Bunk bed or loft bed
Tools: Allen keys, a screwdriver, and a second person. Typical time: About 30 to 45 minutes.
- Take off the top mattress and any ladder or rail first.
- Lift the top bunk off the posts with two people.
- Label each side panel and bag the hardware per section.
Crib
Tools: Allen keys or the crib's own tool. Typical time: About 20 to 30 minutes.
- Remove the mattress and lower the base.
- Take off the sides in the order they went on, and photograph each step.
- Keep every bolt; crib hardware is not something to replace with a guess.
Sectional sofa
Tools: Usually no tools; sometimes a screwdriver for legs. Typical time: About 10 to 20 minutes.
- Unhook the connecting brackets between pieces.
- Unscrew the legs and bag them with the brackets.
- Wrap each section separately in pads.
Dining table
Tools: A wrench or socket set for the legs. Typical time: About 15 to 30 minutes.
- Remove any leaves and pack them flat and padded.
- Unbolt the legs and wrap them together.
- Protect the tabletop corners with cardboard.
Treadmill or home gym
Tools: A socket set, Allen keys, and the manual if you have it. Typical time: About 30 to 60 minutes.
- Unplug it and fold the deck if it folds.
- Remove the console or arms if the manual allows.
- Treadmills are heavy; tell us the model so we bring enough crew.
Desk or shelving
Tools: A screwdriver and Allen keys. Typical time: About 15 to 30 minutes.
- Empty every drawer and shelf.
- Remove the hutch or top section first.
- Flat-pack furniture may not survive being taken apart twice; ask us whether to move it whole.
Rather not do it yourself? Taking apart and putting back together beds, tables, and sectionals is part of every move we do. Bag and tape the hardware to each piece either way.
